JEWELLERY CARE & WARRANTY

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

With plated jewellery, it is natural for the finish to fade over time due to exposure to various chemicals. To extend the life of your pieces and keep them looking their best follow these simply tips:
    • Try to keep your jewellery away from moisture by removing it before showering, swimming or exercising. Alternatively, wipe jewellery dry after contact with moisture.
    • Allow lotions, perfumes or any harsh chemicals to absorb into the skin before putting on your jewellery.
    • Polish your jewellery regularly with your LILÉ polish cloth and store it in the keepsake jewellery box when not in use.
    • Avoid rubbing jewellery against hard surfaces.

    FAQs

Q: What is 18K PVD gold?

A: 18K PVD gold is a type of gold plating that stands for "Physical Vapor Deposition." It is a process in which a thin layer of gold is applied to a base metal using a vacuum chamber and evaporated gold vapor. The result is a durable and long-lasting layer of gold that can be used to plate jewellery and other accessories.

Q: How long does 18K PVD gold last?

A: 18K PVD gold is known for its durability and longevity. When cared for properly, it can last for many years without fading or tarnishing. However, it is important to note that all gold plating will eventually wear off over time, especially if it is subjected to harsh conditions or frequent wear.

Q: Can I wear 18K PVD gold jewellery in water?

A: Our jewellery is designed to be water-resistant, meaning it can withstand some exposure to water without sustaining damage. However, we do advise against exposing your jewellery to water for extended periods of time or to activities that may subject it to excessive water exposure. This is because over exposure to water can eventually lead to deterioration of the materials or damage to the piece, which can shorten its lifespan. It's always a good idea to remove your jewellery before swimming, showering, or engaging in activities that may cause it to come into contact with large amounts of water. If you do need to wear your 18K PVD gold jewellery in water, be sure to dry it thoroughly afterwards to prevent tarnishing and fading.
